quote:Overstatement victim, you are. That Ole Miss team was unranked, missing 6 defensive starters, with a 1st year coach, and a QB who was not SEC caliber and probably couldn't have even started for Grambling. But keep telling yourself that.
Last night we ran into a GREAT Ole Miss team

No, not an overstatement, just a fact, based upon the skill and intensity displayed by the Ole Miss team last night. Last night (maybe for the only time this year), Ole Miss was a great SEC team, and we were not.
They came to kick our arse, and it showed through loud and clear. They outplayed us for almost 3 quarters, because they made the plays that a great team makes.
Every team in this conference has the capability of performing as a great team on any given night, and last night we played a great Ole Miss team that clearly outplayed us for most of the game.
Any Tiger fan with just a little historic perspective knows that Ole Miss is capable any year of giving us as tough a game as anybody, even if they have a losing record.
So we have to always be prepared to fight like hell from the intial kickoff. They have frequently played their best game against us, so that should never come as a surprise to any knowledgeable Tiger fan.
