CBS Sports: 1/24/13

"LSU announced a new contract for Miles Thursday, one that offers him a two-year extension through the 2019 season and increases his annual salary from $3.75 million to $4.3 million. The contract will be presented to the LSU Board of Supervisors for approval Feb. 1."

NOLA 2/1/13:

"According to a NOLA.com report, Miles' buyout terms in the proposed deal are in LSU’s favor. If Miles is terminated without cause in any of the first three years of the contract, he receives $15 million; $12.9 million in years four or five; $8.6 million in year six; and in year seven, $4.3 million."
