It is, no waste of meat. I'm to old to be tracking a deer and I hate bloody up meat. I don't hunt for horns anymore. Besides, I don't kill just for the hell on it. I hunt to eat and enjoy the outdoors when I can.

For many years, I hunted for a big rack and bagged a few nice ones. But as I said, I'm to old for that crap now. I hunt my own land and I let nice racks walk and will take a small doe first. More so if it is a doe that has two yearling, I will take that. That gives the breeder a better chance to raise her other yearling and be able to breed for next year. It is all about management. Just like raising cows.
