No they didn't. They chose to run and not pass. It was a running game workout.

Mett may have been a little off today, but I honestly believe it was our gameplan to run the ball and control the clock and the game. We did that. I just wish instead of taking the knee at the end we had scored again. Just for Florida players acting like such thugs.

I pointed to this early in the second quarter. He wanted Mett to be a game manager today and pass only to loosen the defense up and when they had to. They probably had two plans. The first, to gash them up the middle since Easley was out and the linebacker play is iffy. The second, just to play our regular uptempo passing offense. I also think the way the defense played dictated the gameplan too. They know that UF is a turnover machine and we'd rather play it safe and smash mouth.

I think they game plan didn't allow Mett to get into a rhythm and with a good defense, it is hard to just start it up on command. When Mett is in a rhythm, there's no college QB better IMO.

Agreed.

UF's DBs are some of the best in the nation. If you're successful running against them, why poke the gator with a stick.

We went against the best defense in the country. Everyone from here on out won't be half as good as them.
