Molina didn't tag Mark Ellis at the plate

The ball beat him there by a mile on a great throw by Beltran, but Molina didn't tag him. Technically Ellis was safe.

Yeah, and short stops never touch 2nd on double plays. If the ball beats you by 10 feet, you're fricking out.
Spend more money Dodgers.

That's a good pic. Is that from tonight's game? I saw the replay on video and he looked safe. He looks out in that pic. Where'd you get that?

Then Ellis should have slid to touch home plate and not try to run over the catcher.

They showed the replay a number of times on the post game show and it is pretty clear that he wasn't tagged. Even Olbermann and the other commentators agreed after they watched it in some kind of super slow motion in high def.
As a Dodger fan, I was stunned that Ellis was sent. He was out by a mile and with the collision, I can't dispute the call by the ump. The Dodgers didn't either. Just a stupid play.

I'm not a fan of either team but during the game I didn't think Molina taged him and after seeing replays still don't think he was taged.

I saw the replay in slow-mo on TBS after the game. It didn't looked like he was tagged.

The Cards and geaux are trash.

The ump must have assumed that with all of the contact there must have been a tag. He wasn't tagged, but he was so clearly out had he been tagged that it was a "neighborhood" play. The "neighborhood" is getting bigger, but I would never have sent him.

I don't know if that was Mattingly's decision or Wallach the 3B coach. It was a dumb move. The ball was too shallow and Beltran has a gun in RF.

this thread is stupid. we lost because mattingly decided to go full fricking retard and take out agon in the 7th which bit us in the arse when we had runners in scoring position with only 1 out BOTH times agon would have been up
