Yeah, that's why I said it's kind of weak. But a 13 year old will at least know more about what he wants than an 8 year old at any rate.

ETA: Know enough to start opposing the parents will at least.

This is my general idea, you ask an 8 or 9 year old and they will just respond yes or no based on if they feel like doing it. At 12-13 you can at least have some type of discussion about it.

I recognize that injuries are lower the younger they are as I never had any major injuries and never did until 2 concussions in HS, but I feel like common sense tells me that concussions are serious business as an adult so it must be just as bad if not worse for children.
