Nick Saban is one of the greatest college ooaches of the modern era. His record of success is indisputable.

Is he dirty? I seriously doubt it. Head coaches are rarely at the forefront of violations anymore. The boosters are the worst violators by far, and they get away with what the athletic departments allow, not the coaches.

Is he ruthless? Absolutely. He will do almost anything to win. Process marginal players, ignore his family, whatever it takes.

Watch "Pony Excess" and compare that era to today. The days of head coaches tacking a hundred dollar bill to the high school locker room bulletin board with their phone number on it are gone.
