Can somebody post what exit you take 'to go through town' and avoid the cluster in Beaumont, and then get back on I-10. I've heard there's a way but I don't know the exact route.

Get off I-10 and take TX-73 E just before Winnie. You will go through Port Arthur and it turns into TX-87. You will come back to I-10 in Orange, TX. Just Google map it. This route saves an hour easily if Beaumont is fricked up.
