he played the WR instead of the ball. he had good coverage and the DB was about to go out of bounds but the db changed direction at the last second and run right under the pass, thompson couldn't make that move in time and was a little out of position.

Looks like it was either give up the points or get called for assault. WR got behind him and he got there too late.

All he had to do was look back and make the INT.
Our DBs are not doing a good job of getting the head turned around.
