helped that their QB was not very accurate

Yeah, I saw threads on here saying it wasn't the defense, but the QB's regressing. What kind of bullshite is that? People want to drill home their point so bad, that they will go through so much to be right about what they see that they will take away everything from the defense and just say the QB's were terrible.

Yeah, were they terrible in the 1st half? Did they forget how to play football in the locker room?

Maybe the reason they weren't accurate because they had a LB or a DB up their arse and they have to get the ball out in a hurry. QB pressure causes that. Not the QB's just "regressing" in the 2nd half.

Did you watch the game? Im not bashing our defense, Im giving them credit for a much improved second half. HOWEVER, they left the QB Prescott in for a long time and he missed several open receivers which killed two of their first few 2nd half drives. The other QB was much more accurate in the first half than he was in the 2nd. Im not talking about when they were hurried.

Correct. Prescott came down to earth. He played way over his head the first half. I think he's weak mentally to tell you the truth. At one point he looked like he quit.

MSU had receivers running free throughout the second half. That's why Matt Mullen was saying MSU was close. If they had a competent QB it's a track meet like the UGA game. On the White INT we didn't have a DB within 10 yard of the MSU receiver it was just an awful pass.
As for pressure: 1 sack doesn't = consistent pressure. MSU had 1 punt the entire game.
We are fortunate in that we play Florida this week. It will give our young guys some experience without the pressure of playing against an overly dynamic offense.

White and Robinson played pretty good especially for freshman. Thompson blew one play trying to avoid pass interference, but for the most part did well. White made a few mistakes, but the pressure helped him out. On his interception he drops to far in his zone and leaves a huge gap. If the ball hadn't been forced out it would have been a 15 yard pass, but shitty throw because of pressure and White took advantage. The D played better. Kwon did well in place of Boyd and Barrow was all in Prescott's arse in the second half. He's a good Pass rushing LBer. He should end up with a few sacks. There was definitely a little more trust and I think we should stick with the defensive formula we had for state and see how it works on Florida.
