How's it a big advantage for the Bears? They're playing on the same field.

When there is a speed disparity, one waters down the field, lets the grass grow long, etc. It's the equivalent of groundskeepers watering down the base paths when the opposing team steals a lot of bases. Does NOT affect both teams equally, unless the teams have the same team speed. Think about that abomination of a field for the Capital One bowl against Sandusky U. Was it better to slow the game down for them or us?
