I hate to get all deep, but I've had a pretty rough day.
This segment makes me really look forward to someday having a kid of my own and doing everything I can for it, being the best father I can be. Growing up without a father, or any male figure in your life, is tough as shite. I at least had my father around until 8th grade, but Vedder's response to Steve's question hits me hard. I wish I had my father around, to be proud of me, and to help me grow as a man. Seeing my little sister, who's about to turn 12, grow up not knowing him at all breaks my heart just about every day also. This really sheds light onto how special of a man Steve is, going out of his way to make sure his child will have the guidance of a father, even if it's only in video form.

i can relate in some ways. granted i was 24 when my dad passed kind of unexpected and unprepared. It kills me that my kids i now have will never have known him. You need to step up and be that man for your sister if you haven't already.
