So it looks like the 6th hero and bumping PD up to 5/9 got me to being able to farm G. I beat it 3 times in a row, never lost a hero and lost 1 tower once.
Now if only there was some way for me to practice boss fights...

What are you working with hero wise? I can still only farm E with any great success. It's easy.
