He knows.... A lot of my friends went to other SEC schools but still wear the LSU colors and are die hards. Some people just want a different college experience or want to go for a particular program, especially if your from Baton Rouge and want to get away.

What I really don't understand is the people I know from Baton Rouge that grow up cheering for LSU then go to Ole Miss/Bama/UGA and completely turn against LSU. Doesn't really make sense to me.

I went to Ole Miss and I'm the biggest LSU fan I know. My family has had the same tickets since the stadium was built.

I grew up in Baton Rouge within a few miles of the stadium and my mom works at LSU. We would've shared the same union.

I made almost all home and away games after the age of 2 or 3 until I was 18. Even at Ole Miss I drove home for 3 or 4 home games and 1 or 2 road games a year. I had a purple tent in the Grove when LSU played Ole Miss.

Best decision I ever made was leaving Baton Rouge for college. You don't go to college for a football program. That's fricking asinine.

ETA:

I chose Ole Miss because it was perfect distance away from Baton Rouge (5 hr drive), I fit in well, the women are ridiculous, history department is solid, and I had so much fun when I visited.

I love Ole Miss and I'm proud to be an Alum from there. But I will never, EVER cheer for Ole Miss over LSU.

18 years of crying and screaming over LSU football with my dad and brother don't disintegrate because I left for college to get away from parents.
