If you're that concerned go to a vet.
But there's a chance he could have a brain tumor and if so I'm sorry.

This may sound cold - but I not taking a nine year old dog who is acting fine now to the vet in the middle of the night for $1000
I guess I was wondering if there is anything I can give him - short of calling coot.
He seems fine now. Just a little tired. Tail wagging.
