Agreed, Rickman was perfect casting for that role. Can't even begin to imagine anyone else playing Snape.

Did yall read the article where Rickman said Rowling told him the ending of his character on day 1 of Sorcerers Stone? The way he played the character through all the movies was directly because he knew the endgame, apparently perplexing the directors as well.
