Sorry, I wasn't trying to be an arse. I have only duck hunted for a few years so I still have a lifetime to learn.
I think it is also interesting hearing the other local names for certain birds. Jacks=ringnecks
How much stock to do you put in decoys matching your desired duck?
Personally I use blue and green wing teal decoys usually in odd numbers along with a couple of pairs of woodies (always paired) and maybe a puddler or 3 set off to the side during teal season.
During big duck season I usually use a mixed bag of puddlers in shallow and divers out deeper but am not sure it makes a difference.

Not much. Most species that you want are pretty sociable so they don't care what the species is. What's really important is your variety and spread.
You also want your variety to match your location. Like being in SWLA it would be really stupid to load up on goldeneyes and canvasbacks.
