I got the pics this morning. Heard it was killed up by Tensas somewhere. No story yet.

Seems too late for velvet..... Maybe high fence deer killed a few weeks back....? Not trying to accuse. Just curious.

I know personally that there's some monsters that hide out along the MS River. A few bucks have been killed around our property along the river in the past few years that have scored 180"+. Wouldn't surprise me that those rich ag fields and timber along the river could produce a monster like that. Sort of like that 254" buck killed at Giles Island last year, which is right close to where this buck was supposedly killed.

BUT the velvet has me a little unconvinced.

It's the first of October. Maybe a little uncommon but not unusual, especially being a non-typical. Might have some genetic issues. If it was early November and still in velvet, then yes.

Big deer in Tensas. My dad found a dead 17 point while building a duck blinds on our lease in 2011. I wish I still had the pics of it, it was on my old phone.

During the big duck season that same year a huge buck was killed on the Guilbeau Marine lease right down the road from our lease. 20 something points or some shite like that. I couldn't wrap my hands around the base of the antlers it was so big.

Killed in Tensas Monday am. No high fence. He brought it by the office. Just wanted to prove it's not too late for velvet.
