At this point, I wonder if we should maybe concern ourselves with one game at a time and not look too far into the future.

Of course, the team has to focus on each game, as the season moves along.

But the players and coaches must also appreciate their long-range opportunities, because those will help motivate the team to steadily improve.

Already this season, there are not many teams left, with even a possibility of going all the way to the promised land.

But we can still finish with one loss, a close road loss to a great SEC team. And, we may even be able to avenge that single loss at the SEC Championship. If we beat UGA in a second game, our 12-1 record will be better than some at 13-0.

Remember Miles' clever slogan in 2007?
"LSU is undefeated in regulation."

That slogan worked with the pollsters, and we snuck in at #2 in the final BCS ranking.

Well, if we win out and beat UGA in Atlanta, Miles will be saying "LSU played 6 top 25 teams and beat them all."

We can sneak in again if we run the table, maybe even ahead of an undefeated team with a weaker schedule.

So we must use that motivation in our approach, to give ourselves the best chance of improving and winning that next game, while also keeping our ultimate goal alive and out in front.

These Tigers' quest ain't gonna be over til it's over, and it aint over yet.
