Sounds to me like hyperbole that is typical on road trips. "We stopped to let little suzie tinkle at the gas station and a group of rabid dawg fans barked in our faces and shat on our windshield!!"

I don't know about UGA fans, but I've seen Vanderbilt fans do this.
