I was really excited for this when it first came out and was let down. It does make some interesting points, but a lot of it was just reaching too far. Some of their arguments could be easily explained that the shot simply looked better that way. It seemed like most of the people seemed just to throw shite on the wall to see what would stick.

Favorite: I was really interested in the discussion of the layout of the hotel and how is was constantly changing. More in the sense that it was giving people a subconscious uneasiness that something wasn't right with the place. Not so much the comparison with the floors and the levels of Danny's mind or whatever.
Least Favorite: I actually wasn't crazy about the Apollo theory. I love the conspiracy idea of him filming the the moon landing, but him dropping hints of that in The Shinning was just a reach for me. For example, when the guy was talking about the shot of "No. Room" and said, "the only other words you can spell with those letters is MOON and ROOM! It must be a sign!" I just wanted to be there to tell him, "well, you could also spell moron."
That or the Minotaur poster was pretty ridiculous

Kubrick was extremely obsessive. Something that might seem like an insignificant detail to most people has meaning for Kubrick. Its not hard to believe that some of these little details are there for a reason.

Agreed. Like I said, "while ridiculous," the whole thing with Danny and the shirt was kind of strange. Lots of grasping at straws, but that's why it was at least a little fun.
The minotaur poster was also ridiculous, it's a good theory actually but he poster was a bit of a stretch.
