Anytime someone puts Dave Matthews anywhere close to being as good as the dead (much less better) the AIDS virus runs rampant through an orphanage.

Dave Matthews is way better than the dead. Way way way better. The only way you could argue that the dead were better is if you completely disregarded the songs that are on the albums and judged the merits of a band exclusively on live performances.
