The problem with the 1st half season of AoS was that it lacked direction, other than Coulson basically babysitting a bunch of newbies. Arrow had direction from the first episode of season one (redeeming his dad's list). I mean the guy was basically going on a killing spree the first half of season 1.

Pretty sure they were chasing down Centipede for almost all of the first half of the season.

I disagree. Arrow's first half of season 1 lacked direction. Crossing off the name of people that didn't really matter. I almost lost interest in arrow until mid season 1.

I agree. "Slow" for Arrow is still pretty good. First half of Shield was a bit of a chore to get through while the second half was outstanding. Arrow season 1 went from good to holy shite.
