Pictures of the barrel and stock. The thing that still bugs me about it being so old is how does it have parkerized barrels on it that are stamped steel shot on it?

I wonder if the gun had another set of barrels made? The rest of the gun looks in good shape, no good reason unless they were damaged. The factory letter might give you guidance.

I looked back at the barrel flats. The mention of steel does not mean safe for steel shot. It means that they are made of Winchester steel and not twist (damascus steel)

It's a beautiful double and there are plenty of Winchester nuts that would love to have it..
