I like to get in early, get set up and let the woods settle. I like to be completely set up and relaxing while it's still pitch black outside. So whatever time that is depending on the day of the year.

Yea, i have always been a get in the stand 30 minutes before grey light kind of hunter...

Screw that noise. I want to be ready to kill at daylight. If I'm walking in and I can see light on the horizon I get all stressed out thinking I'm pushing all the deer out of the area.

I look at the sunrise time and think about duck hunting. If I can shoot 30 minutes before that time, then I better be in the stand at least an hour before the sunrise time.

I'm usually in the stand well before first light, and stay in the stand until it's pitch black on afternoon hunts.
