quote:

What they didn't take into account is that Mathieu is no ordinary rookie. Despite sitting out his final season at LSU last year for disciplinary reasons, and despite being matched against an offense that ranked second in passing and third in total yards last season, he did not consider the moment or the game too big. After surrendering the catch to Burleson on an underneath route he coolly tackled him a yard short of the first down to preserve the Cardinals' 25-21 victory.

quote:

"What he did is nothing new to us," said linebacker Karlos Dansby. "It's new to everybody else, but not to us. He's been doing it since training camp. The crazy part about it is, he took a year off last year yet he's so consistent on THIS level. I've never seen anything like it - the consistency ... for a rookie ... who didn't play last year. Never."

What he is doing is nothing new to us either.

Him on the team last year is a completely different record. He's a special player.

It is really a shame that he was not able to play last year. It would have really been fun to watch.

It's Sports Illustrated, so they're just building him up so they can tear him down later.

SI has decided to become the national enquirer. I'll never click a link to their site. No one should.

All the tiny babies that will read any random thread on here but not an article from a publication. WOW

So what if it is SI.

Anyways, Honey Badger is doing what we all knew he could. Its amazing to see even still.

That's one of the things people don't realize about the kid along with all his other awesome talents. he's real strong for his size. he slings WR's down to the ground like rag dolls. I watched him knockdown a big RB for Detroit yesterday.

great play by mathieu, big shove off, recovers in time to make the game icing tackle.

how about that dart peterson threw. Usually you expert someone like that to throw a lob pass, he threw it on a fricking rope

Thanks for the link. I didn't know that Patrick Peterson had a pass in that game.

With Peterson, his idol, in the same secondary, TM7 could put a nice career together.
