i'm just pointing out the obvious that there is a lot that unresolved. he might have rapped up the season but not the story. and i am in no way blaming whedon nor am i trashing the movie or show. i loved both

i agree,

at the same time i'm saddened by the loss of what should've been multiple seasons of Mal being awesome.

but by no means does that mean you do not watch. watch it. it's better to haved loved and lost than yada yada...
