ETA: schools shouldn't pay but players should be able to profit from their name.

People don't get this at all. They say, "You should be able to profit off of your name" when they somehow forget that you wouldn't have a name worth profiting off if it wasn't for the sport and the exposure. Say what you want but nobody is going to want a signed Johnny Manziel autograph if he plays backyard football, in his actual backyard!
