I'm a conservationist myself, and will also help them on their trip back down.
Some folks are so devoted to the species that they'll give them a free ride back down on a 5lb weight and heavy braid. Go so far as to attach a mean looking grouper hook so other fish will leave them alone after their traumatic ordeal.
