Pallotta

James Pallotta. He's club president, head of the American group that bought Roma 2 1/2 years ago.

He's a trust fund guy with ties to the sports investment group that owns the Celtics and Red Sox (and have some part of Roma now) et al. . .

Since he took over as president a year ago things are getting done at a surprising rate for Italy in general and shocking considering it's not in the north nor involves Juve.

Serie A big wigs have always been extremely resistant to foreign owners but hopefully what Palotta's doing for Roma will pave the way for new investors in some of the mid table clubs.

However, I have my doubts that Thohir (an Indonesian businessman) who just bought Inter will prove quite as savy. He also owns Washington DC's MLS club and I think and NBA franchise.

Well, at least his last name is amicable-agreeable.

He manages the assets in the trust funds of various NBA and MLB players?

I think that Singaporean (Peter Lim) is still dicking around with Valencia. Let´s hope something good happens for them.
