I usually run 10-15 Bushnells. Battery life is pretty good (takes 8 AAs) and pictures are crisp. The best cameras are Reconyx, though, but for the number of cameras I use, it would be way too expensive to run them. Reconyx are about $500 a piece.

We also use a few Spypoint cameras as security cams. You attach the camera to a tree and then bury the receiver nearby. It wireless sends the pictures from the cam to receiver, so even if you catch somebody snooping and they destroy/steal the camera, the image is safe and sound in the receiver underground somewhere. It's worked several times for us to catch trespassers.
