Knowing I wasn't going to play, I'd rather a) stay at home, or b) be on the sidelines in street clothes.

Knowing I was the starter, dressed out, ready to play, mentally into the game, but not on the field, would be a worse punishment.

Good job by Miles of punishing him (dressed out and on the sidelines), while still letting him know he's a part of the team (dressed out and on the sidelines).

And yes, a stupid and pointless hypothetical to begin with...
