Metal Gear is a more story heavy version of the first few splinter cells I would say.

When will I be able to play my PS3 games on my PS4? Will I have to buy the games online or can I use the old PS3 discs?

You will not be able to play a PS3 disk. You will have to wait until Gaikai comes to PS4 in 2014.
I am just going to keep my PS3. I already have one and I can use it in another room for bluray and netflix. I still plan on getting a bunch of PS3 games because I missed so many great ones.

Reborn, a PS3/PS4 RPG was announced at TGS.
Reborn TGS announcement
It's a cyberpunk action RPG set in Tokyo. The devs are looking to take classic cRPG depth and put it in a modern action RPG shell.
It's been in development for 9 months apparently, and the devs are looking for Kickstarter support. Interesting that Sony is picking up games like this and Project Phoenix.
edit... looks like it's not intended to be exclusive. Still, an interesting game worth mentioning I think.

I hope inFamous is a lot better then the other 2. The others were good, but I felt like they were missing something. I played them a lot so I might of just wore them out.
