When using pistols for home defense, don't yall think a laser sight is very important?

If you feel the need for a laser to hit a target that is likely to be no more than 15 ft from you, you need to practice more. Specifically you need to practice raising the gun from an un-holstered position to engage the target and firing instinctively without aiming. IMHO

A laser sight is good for aiming when you can not acquire a natural shooting position. For instance if you are lying on the ground and have an injured arm you would be able to aim without extending your arm, or you could shoot from the hip if you needed. Some believe it would be beneficial to aim while shooting around cover. I contend you still have to expose your head to see the target the laser is on so it does not seem all that smart.

In total darkness in your home you have an advantage. You know your home an a criminal is unlikely to know your home. A laser simply tells them where to return fire. All they have to do is shoot at the little red/green light in the dark.

Sure, if you don't know how to shoot. In the case you think you need a laser on your pistol, a 12 gauge is your best friend.
