re: Recruits/Parents - this is why you should play at LSU

Hey Red shirts help a lot too guys!!! Look at Jerred Allen.... he looked freakn good out there and knew exactly what he was doing, that's in part because he had all that time to work on technique and get stronger/smarter as a player. I like Redshirts myself BUT I also like to play freshman, we played lots of Frosh on ST and it showed also! If I were doing it, I would simply play the guys that deserved to play and the ones that needed to mature and work on certain things I would RS no matter how highly touted they were! If you don't work for it and deserve it, you don't get it!!! ST or not!!! Like the freak when he came to LSU, he even said himself he wasn't ready for SEC FB and didn't prepare the right way! I would of RS him!!! Just because your highly touted doesn't mean your ready! Some are.... Like Jennings, he worked his butt off to be ready and that's the atmosphere I would want to create.... Not if you come, you play...... NO!! If you come and prepare yourself to play, you play PERIOD!!! But I think Les is doing just that now a days!!!
