Since I have been asked to weigh in on this thread.

Betting is a good discussion during football and basketball seasons. After that it would be a very slow time for the board.

Having a new board would dilute the the current MSB.

Can we get sticky for the main thread each week, i.e. CFB Bet Thread, NFL Bet Thread, Survivor?

not arguing just pointing out that a lot of people bet on Baseball and Hockey.

And if you think about it Football and Basketball take up pretty much the entire you minus like 2 months maybe.

Why do you think it would dilute the MSB? I would still post a lot on the MSB but could actually get out of 1 monster thread to discuss games?

thanks for your input

Then why anchor the main thread?

Not to mention a gambling board encompasses a lot more than just sports betting. There should be board sub-sets and a gambling board should be a sub-set of the MSB.

Oh and gambling sites pay huge money for website adverts. That's probably the biggest reason to have a gambling board. But I guess TD is in a position to turn down more members + advert money.

eta: A gambling board would have more posters than the soccer board, music board, and the fantasy board.
