Bars:

Here are some of the best ones.

Meddlesome Moth-Good selection and more obscure stuff than anywhere else in Dallas. But it is kindo of isolated. Not really much else around it.

Stranegways-Funky almost dive place, owners are usually tending bar, very good selection with some obscure stuff.

Common Table Good selection and good food. Parking is a pain though.

Bottle Shop Bar and bottle shop-You can drink there or buy bottles to take away-Lower Greenville place, low key bar, excellent selection. I can walk there so I like it.

Beer Kitchen-another lower greenville spot just steps from Bottle Shop- They have food but I was not impressed, pretty good selection.

Libertine-Lower Greenville spot across the street from Bottle Shop....so you could hit here, Bottle Shop and Beer Kitchen easily. Libertine has pretty good food but a smaller selection than Bottle Shop. Nice atmosphere...a fav of mine.

Craft & GrowlerAt the gates of Fair Park-Excellent Selection of Texas Beers.

Bryan Steet Tavern Great selection of Texas beers and good pizza.

Bear Union In the heart of West Village....Uptown....if you want to enjoy looking at hot uptown girls while sipping a nice brew on the patio, this is the spot. High douchebag factor though.

Gingerman In uptown...has been here forever....the original craft beer place in Dallas.

Goodfriend Beer Garden Off the beaten path-on the east side of white rock lake....about a 10 minute drive from Lower Greenville. One of my favorite places. Good food and a great beer selection. An older crowd...say upper 20's to 70 with most people being 30's-40's. Very laid back.

World of Beer-Chain of craft beers places....good selection but a bit too corporate for me. It's on SMU Blvd where all the SMU bars are located. Torchy's is 100 feet away so you can grab some good tacos.

Katy Trail Ice House-Good selection...they always have Thirsty Planet Bucket Head IPA outta austin which I really like. Great outdoor patio/ yard....hot uptown girls...high douchebag factor...can get very crowded and take forever to get a beer.

For Stores- Specs and Total Wine are your best bet. They are on Central (hwy 75) very close to each other. Whole Foods and Central Market have good selections too.
