Well, it is a legitimate plot hole. I actually audit bills for crime victims in the state of Texas, and the state actually would pay for every day rehab and home health visits. And even if the state doesn't pay for all the charges in full, the patient doesn't have to pay anything out of pocket. The provider gets what they get


Most states, if not all, have a crime victim compensation act where the state would pay for medical bills. Therefore hank, in real life, would have probably never had to borrow money and still had great rehab services.

But that was so season 4, so who cares

Mythbusters showed there are plenty of nit-picking plot holes. I'll give them a pass for the forethought to give Walt leverage over Hank, what, three seasons in advance?
