Remember when actual groundbreaking videos like "Sledgehammer" and "Tonight Tonight" use to actually win?
Nowadays it's not so much who had the best video as it is who had the best pop hit of the year.

Yeah, there was this novel concept that it was about well made "videos" that melded the visual with the music. Marketing was always the end game, but it sure seemed more interesting then.
