re: Breaking Bad vs. The Sopranos

Have watched every episode of both series (obviously still have a few of BB to go) and they're both some of the best to ever hit the screen.
Here's the amazing thing, The Sopranos had the luxury of doing plot development using violence unrestricted...it was on HBO. Language and intense violence, which are a part of any inside look at crime, were there as a tool. Breaking Bad has created that "shock and awe" affect with less to work with.
Lastly, the writing in Breaking Bad seems to be a bit more complex and it handles multiple parallel plots a little better than Sopranos did...IMHO.
Like Speedy said earlier in the thread, watch them both; stuff like this doesn't come around too often.
