Really can't judge off of 1 game, plus his ranking has a lot to do with his potential due to his frame and athletic ability..4.5 forty and 40" vert.

LSU's interest in Chad Thomas really is puzzling because it seems like he had genuine interest in LSU. He dominated at every camp he went to and even embarrassed our guy Brumfield at the Under Armour underclassmen camp. His versatility to play 3 technique like GW III and Godchaux is also an added bonus.

I think his lack of size was an issue early on, but he seems to have solved that problem. He's also playing a lot meaner than last year. We may try to get back in on him late, but right now it seems that Brick is still trying to work on Thornton.

He was kind of back-and-forth. I think LSU was the only OOS school he was really interested in but most thought he'd stay home. Three BTW teammates are also committed to Miami. That made it too easy for him to just commit.

I don't know if Coach Haley will stay in contact with him until it's over but he usually does that with a couple of committed guys. Last year he did it with Lawson & Bower. He stayed on both, felt them out at the end and went all in on Bower. I'm hoping Thomas is one Brick keeps on a string like that for 2014.
