This is one thing I hate with gaming today. Why do we continue to play to the lowest common denominator. I realize it would suck for some of these people, but should we really allow it slow down progress in the future of gaming.

Especially since the majority of the bickering about such policies are being done by people who obviously would have no issues with actually following these policies.

I think your comment on 360's may be flawed though. Is this people who never actually plugged in or bought a 360 and never purchased a gold account?

This the number of consoles sold - the total number of Gold and Silver accounts ever created. So, the number is actually higher considering that you can create infinite accounts on a single console.

Because that "lowest denominator" is still important. They still buy games and ignoring would lose any chance of them becoming more active customers for you in the future. I also think it's a gross exaggeration to say those without reliable internet are holding back the future of gaming.
