This defense is to young.

Every starter in the secondary has been a starter

Two of three LBs were starters. The other has lot's of experience.

Two lineman are third and fourth year players. Another played lot's last year. The fourth is a veteran who was hurt last year.

Where is this business about the D being young coming from?

All I said was young is the defense, and with our schedule this is a valid concern.

The team that controls the line of scrimmage wins the game. I'm not concerned with oline because they have good depth and quality starts.

I'm a little concerned with d line, because you have to have a rotation of 8 to 10 guys on the dline to make it through a season in the sec. At dt we have two guys with good experience and the rest have no experience. At de we have one guy with experience, one guy that missed last year to injury, and no experience behind them. Right now we have a rotation of four guys we know about who are good and ready to go. I'm concerned if the young guys can step up and be the other 4 we need to be able to rotate on the dline.

Lb - talented should be good so I'm not worried there

Db- once again we got guys with experience, but we need the young ones to step up and be ready to go, and develop as the season progresses.

I love out team and the way we are built, but the premise of this thread is a national championship. With our schedule and youth we are going to need a lot of youngster to develop fast and provide depth.

I'm not throwing salt on anything, all I'm saying is this is the youngest team we have had in a while, and its going to take player development and great coaching to get close to a national championship.

I'm good with 10-2, but I don't doubt chief can get the defens to grow up fast and have a realistic shot at a natty.
