You should slip in the freakin' Brothers Grimm - I'm still not sure which one was Damon and which one was Ledger - they looked so much alike, at least in the film

I had no clue it was based on the mobster that just was in trial. Can't remember his name at the moment.

ETA: Just read through the thread. Yea, Whitey Bulger.

Also, that X marks danger thing is fricking cool as shite. No clue about that. Incredible detail by the director.

what, are you on your period?

Wow.

It's a quote from the movie, when Leo orders a cranberry juice

"My girlfriend drinks it when she's on her period. Are you on your period?" Or something along those lines

Then beats the shite out of the guy

I liked The Departed, but the ending turned a great movie into just a good movie.

I think people underestimate the emotional impact of such endings. How was The Departed supposed to end? The clue was in the title of the film folks.

This film is just so-so without the specific ending it had. The ending makes it excellent.

Great movie. I remember a bunch of people got confused because of how similar Leo and Matt looked back then. I knew better because I had followed both of their careers up until then.

Yeah lol..Matt Damon...his accent was down right hilarious at times...Leo is probably a top 3 actor right now, He always does an incredible job no matter the part.
The accents were fine. Matt Damon grew up in Boston. He should know as well as anyone how the accent is done. How was it bad?

I didn't say it was bad.. I just think a Boston accent is hilarious.

Alright fair enough. They do sometimes sound stupid. Especially when they say "Cawwwwwwstello"

Was in Boston on business a few years back. The office building I was in that week was right around the corner from the building that Martin Sheen's character got tossed from. When the guy mentioned that to me - I was like, I knew this place looked familiar.

Boston is really a cool town. Lots of history and lots of character to it. Haven't been back since 2011. Miss it.
