I read up on gator hunting in Alabama earlier today. They have two short windows for hunting. Only those awarded one of the 275 (I think thats the correct #) tags can hunt or kill. Three designated areas, one around Mobile, one up north and one in the southeast part of the state. Very regulated on how the hunt and the kill is conducted. You must check in with the alabama wildlife dept. (whatever they call it) with your gator. No where near as fun as Louisiana does it...

Saw someone's comment on facebook last night that the gator weighed 725lbs. I don't know if that is official but that's what I'm seeing as of now.
