He knows first hand the talent that exists in LA. Recruiting LA is the smartest thing he can do because as you said, the more he gets, the stronger it makes him, but the weaker it also makes us. Only reason I would imagine they pick Bama over LSU is a better chance at championships and the NFL. Only thing we can do to help that is beat them, and show recruits they are not better than us.

And to answer your question about LA coaches preventing this from happening. I dont think they will because I dont think they have an incentive to prevent it. Maybe the ones that went to LSU, but thats a much smaller percentage than you would think. What they want is their players to go on and win championships and make a name for themselves. Bama gives them as much a chance for that as LSU does, probably more as of now.

This is the flaw in you logic. Because he gets Landon Collins-we don't get a comparable safety ? Because he gets Eddie Lacey, we don't get a comparable running back ? It's not a zero-sum deal. LSU gets a class of 3-4-5 star kids also.

Listen, if we poached the number 3, 6, and 7 guy in the State of Alabama EVERY SINGLE YEAR, you don't think Nick would find replacements in New Jersey, Florida and Texas? Of course he would, and so does Les.

Cam Robinson, for instance, is NOT irreplaceable. Any more than Lael Collins or Chris Faulk were. We have never lost a game to Alabama because we lost a Louisiana kid to Alabama. If he was coming in and getting our best kids every year, rather than the cherry-picking that is actually happening, you'd have a point. 4 guys on an 85 man roster is not a big deal.

I agree. Regardless of Saban coaching in LA, the top kids in Alabama are not coming down to an Alabama/LSU battle for their committment, like most of the top kids in Louisiana every year. Gets to me. If loose kids to USC west or Texas I don't care, just rivarly teams and pretty much only those son of bitches that piss me off.
