Yeah, except not at all.

Do you know anything about the case (or the kid for that matter) besides the fact that the kid's name is Jefferson?

Where were you around Mardi Gras when this first broke? Were you as outraged? Do you even know dick about the legal process and how it works?

I know that Jefferson has never been in a lick of trouble in any way and made good grades in High School, and one of the main "thugs" he was running with that day and protecting from the "cop" in street clothes (that failed to identify himself) was either the valedictorian or close to it of Destrehan High and soon to be a D-1 athlete.

I don't have "insider" sources. I do know that I read the original story several months ago when he was first arrested. It screamed of over-zealous, incompetent and unethical cop. Knowing Jefferson Parish and how their Sheriff's office works, it all makes a lot of sense.

All I want is for people to be fair to the story and to Rickey Jefferson, and not just brand him as a thug because his older brother was arrested while at LSU and he had to put up with shitty JPSO idiots during Mardi Gras (something anyone familliar with NO or Jeff. Parish knows is a massive, massive pain in the arse).

You think it's amazing that people on a Louisiana message board would have connections to a case in Kenner and a family in Destrahan?

You have to be either kidding or smoking weed if you really think LSU players don't get as much shite as a pass from LSU types.

And its a fricking misdemeanor. Not a crime spree. He has to stay away that kind of crap, but the self-righteous BS needs to take a hike.

I know right? Shocking that people on an LSU board MIGHT know people 90 miles down the road. Especially those of us with family down there and that was with the group that night.

I wasn't there, but given the reputation that Jefferson and his buddies have (which is generally good), given the number of eye witnesses that have confirmed the boys story, AND given my own personal experiences with the Jefferson Parish Sherrifs Office, I'd tend to side with Rickey at this point. JPSO has been known to pull all kinds of hijinx around Severn during Mardi Gras.

Saints players/coaches live or (have at some point) lived in Destrehan, specifically in Ormond. You think they don't have money?

My wifes family lives in Ormond and I can definitely agree that there is a very large amount of money there.
