Tired-ass shite. When will this meme die? No more "If Obama had a son" threads. Please. You're propagating the ridiculous shite.

Look at the threads L.A. has started that are currently on the first page:

quote:

If Obama had a son would he look like young Antonio Santiago?

quote:

Don’t Ignore Race in Christopher Lane’s Murder

quote:

Teen who allegedly murdered Australian jogger posted racist Tweets

Dude is beyond race-obsessed.

My obsession is the media and their power and influence in controlling the national dialogue. I like to post topics on here that I think are being under-reported by the national media. Crimes where blacks are the perps are under reported, and what's problematic with this topic is that about 4% of the population (ie young black males) is committing 50% of the violent crimes in America. That's a subject that should be on the front pages of every newspaper in America, or part of every media broadcast. It's a subject that needs to be addressed.

But its definitely not under-reported on the poli board.

And its a subject that gets very, very thoroughly addressed on the poli board.

This board is race-obsessed, point blank period.

That's the idea. If the media are going to ignore the topic, then it has to be addressed at a grass roots level.

When 4% of the population is committing 50% of the violent crimes in America, something has to be done. I keep hoping the black community will take the lead in this, becuase they are the natural choice for turning this problem around, but so far the black leaders who have tried to address the topic have been singled out as Uncle Toms, Cornball Brothers, sell-outs, etc.

I am not optimistic right now.

I understand, LA. And I am not trying to cast any aspersion in your direction.

But I am against interjecting race into any and every event, no matter which side is doing it. I hate the cliche about two wrongs, but you get what I am saying.

For example, often people on this board complained in the past that certain people who vote based on some silly social issues (like gay marriage, OCP availability, abortions, etc) were being idiots because other things, like the economy, were much more pressing, important issues to consider when voting.

But it seems as if 50% of every thread started on this board nowadays is about race (even greater when you throw in gay marriage and abortions). Are there not many more important issues (like the economy) that are worth discussing these days?

I hear what you're saying. I think the double standard is what irks people and ends up driving the discussion. I'm a parent. My wife and I raised 3 kids. One finds out vey quickly that the fastest way to create disharmony among the kids is to treat them by different standards. If one is treated differently, then the others get angry about it. They don't mind being disciplined if everyone is treated the same. That's where I think we are right now in the white community: There's a sense that a double standard is in place, both by the media and by the government. The result is that people are angry and it is very much on their minds. What you see on this board is visible proof.

Why are you so defensive? Should people just turn a blind eye to these atrocities so that good black folk won't feel uncomfortable? It's an epidemic ,out of control, under supervised, black adolescents .It must be dealt with.

I'm not. I just feel as if this has been a subject that has been beaten to death on this board (esp since the TM situation) and I would actually like to discuss other topics. My bad if that upsets you.

I'm sure a massive uprising is right around the corner, thanks to the TD poli board

I see that. And I don't think there is anything wrong with voicing said anger and wanting to hold people (media, govt, etc) accountable. But I honestly think this subject consumes alot of posters.

Yea, I actually have a life and don't post on 50 different boards, sorry about that. Finding a non-racial thread here is becoming increasingly difficult.

L.A. just said it was the white community, so I'm going to trust his word. Thanks

Come on over. I'll tell everybody you're my cousin from Australia, or some other place where it's sunny all the time.
