The key word is some. There are good coaches out there, and there are some great people involved in the schools. But are you denying that there are many people who would make great coaches but they refuse to join a profession that requires so much time, so many headaches, and such little pay?

In every town there are many youth baseball, soccer, basketball, and football teams coached by dads who say that they just love the game. If they love the game so much, why don't they enter the teaching/coaching profession?

Rereading it, I think I reacted too harshly to your original post (although I disagreed with how it was written). This post makes more sense at least.

As for the bolded, stability is one of the concerns (even at a few HS near my area).
