I see a lot of doom and gloom. From an outsider's perspective...

Some of y'all are being ridiculous. It's August
When was the lasst time lsu didn't sign a great class? Worrying about Alabama on the recruiting trail is a futile effort, they're going to have a great class as long as saban is at the helm and no one is going to stop that.
There are two sides to that fence though. While Alabama has a great (and almost full) class shaping up, lsu has a great class shaping up with plenty of spots to fill. Everyone is in play until february, the season itself can sway or solidify a lot of recruits.
The fact that recruit x or recruit y is visiting school a and school b in august doesn't mean a damn thing. Lsu is in a comfortbale lead for a host of the best prospects in the country. Fellas, you aren't going to get them all but I promise the sky isn't falling. I hate to go all positiger but have some damn patience. The big dogs walk last and a top 3 class will ink with lsu in february.
Your back yard is teeming with talent and they're going to entertain other suitors because they've earned that right, but the majority of them are heading to BR, anyone who truly conveys that they believe otherwise is just trolling you.

These guys are all more likely to sign with lsu right now than anyone else, and in august that's the best spot you can ask for. I'll hop off my soapbox now, but the paranoia and he said/she said was gettin OOC

Thank you.
This board needs to quit with the doom and gloom shite and have some faith in Miles and co. It'll all come together in time.

Great points. I always liked you as a poster, both on the OT and SECr.

This exactly.
I recall Ben Wilkerson, Michael Clayton, Marcus Spears, Marquise Hill, Andrew Whitworth all committing around late November- early January.
You impatient fricks are like little bitch arse kids that need to get their arse whooped before Christmas.

I've always said that a strong Auburn is necessary for LSU's sustained success.
The guys worried about Alabama's recruiting are misguided.
They should be more worried about Auburn's recruiting. And based on the past couple of seasons, they would have a lot to be worried about.

WTF is this shite?
No one is trying to stop Alabama from signing a great class, where does this arrogance come from?
the concern is that while, yes, it is only August, the fact is that at this point in the recruiting season, LSU is TENTH in the SEC by Rivals rankings. How is it that Vandy at this point in the season has a higher ranked class than LSU? Why isn't LSU's class keeping pace with the other top schools in the conference? I think that is what the concern is. Recruits seem to be taking more of a wait and see attitude with LSU than other schools. LSU fans are only asking, "Why is that?"
It's not ALL about Alabama.
I happen to think LSU will finish in the top 5, not getting all the recuits they want, but landing one or two they didn't expect.
Oh, and to answer your question, 2012. Zero 5 stars, no running backs, and only a single, project quarterback talent from Mississippi. Not saying the class wasn't good, but it wasn't up to the usual great standards of a recruting class for LSU.
Yes, you are an outsider. Go back outside.

I appreciate the effort, but this board will always be about 60% shite show, which we've tried to explain to the more level headed posters on the SECrb, and requested admin help for.
This site has been popular for years in regards to LSU, so every limp dick who is still pissed about Saban leaving has signed up and trickled over here. The vast majority of your posters had to care, and therefore know enough about, Bama recruiting to seek out the SECrb.
Eventually it may even out, but for now just try to appreciate what we go through.

Is there anything to do in Tuscaloosa, AL other than the university. In other words is there anything there that is so special that when recruits go visit they feel at home.

+1
I am not worried about Shama recruiting, Shama players, Satan, 'Rivals rankings,' etc.
Why ?????????
Miles is 3-4 vs Saban since 2007. SIX of those 7 games came down to the final minutes.
Miles could EASILY be 5-2 vs Saban.
No team in the nation comes CLOSE to how competitive we are with those MulliGumpToothlessTeabaggingSkoalJuiceChinMFers

Must be nice to be able to post on another team's board without being "voted in"

Rise up, from your mouth to God's ear. Some of us were relly hurt by Collins. It just stung at a painful time. We were already smarting from what felt like an opponent t the BCS that didn't deserve being there. We would never have been given the same opportunity. I want LF. I want Quinn. I would LOVE to have all of those boys on that list.
D not want to have to defend those offensive players. Especially. lF.
